NLUUG mirror

We’re very pleased to announce that the Dutch association NLUUG is hosting a mirror of our repositories!

About NLUUG:

The NLUUG is the association of (professional) Open Systems and Open Standards users in the Netherlands. Since the late seventies, the NLUUG has brought together the community of systems administrators, programmers, researchers and IP network professionals. The primary goal of the NLUUG is to extend the application of, and knowledge about, open systems and UNIX.

There is an update for the update manager (version 1.2.9) which will have the repositories listed. Open UM, View, Preferences, and check the mirror speed in the Repository mirrors tab. Check the fastest mirrors available, and hit Apply.

NLUUG synchronizes every three hours, which means that when we have a new Update Pack available, NLUUG will start synchronizing three hours later. It will take several hours to synchronize. So, be patient if you point to our mirrors.

You can also manually edit /etc/apt/sources.list manually:

deb solydxk main upstream import kdenext
deb testing main contrib non-free
deb testing main non-free
deb testing/updates main contrib non-free
deb solydxk main

Don’t forget to run “sudo apt-get update” after.

  1. Many thanks to NLUUG my download speeds have increased significantly here in the UK. Also thanks to NLUUG for supporting this great distro.

  2. I also want to thank NLUUG for providing a mirror for SolydXK. This is the server that I download faster from.

  3. Manually setting sources.list with these lines results in 404 not found errors (?)
