SolydX and SolydK are open source operating systems that can be downloaded here. Installation and use is free for everyone and support is provided by the community in our forum.

You download and install the SolydXK operating systems at your own risk. SolydXK Community is not liable for any damage incurred.

Follow these instructions to install SolydX or SolydK on your system.

First, check the BIOS of your system whether you can boot from USB.

Download your ISO file and verify your download with the supplied GPG or SHA file. On the product pages you will find download and help links. You can burn the ISO file to DVD or write it to a USB flash drive using the program UnetBootin, Win 32 Disk Imager or dd:

sudo dd if=~/solydk_9_64_201803.iso of=/dev/sdx bs=64k oflag=dsync status=progress

Where ~/solydk_9_64_201803.iso is the path to your ISO file and /dev/sdx is the device path of your USB flash drive (Do not append a partition number, so do not use something like /dev/sdb1). You can verify the device path with the following command:

sudo fdisk -l

Important: Make sure the device path is correct when using dd. There is a risk of damaging your system.
