The new iso’s are out!

The new SolydXK ISO’s include the latest updates from the August Update Pack.

Some things are changed, and some are new.
Here’s a short list:

SolydX

  • The default start menu has been replaced by the Whisker menu.
This menu has a built-in search function, and you can easily change your favorite programs list.
  • The network manager Wicd has been replaced by Network Manager.
Network Manager supports mobile broadband by default.

SolydK

SolydK Back Office

  • The CRM software Zurmo has been upgraded to version 2.0.21

The DVD consists of all five distributions:

  1. Nice, I love the idea of the multi DVD, so that I can try and install whatever I want. Right now using solydx, very stable, you are doing a good job, thanks.

  2. Thank you for including NetworkManager in this release. I can now connect to both my DSL and mobile broadband accounts. However, I tried just two operations in live mode and both resulted in a frozen system with white noise screen. First was merely clicking to launch Firefox. I rebooted into a new USB live session and then tried changing just the window border theme. The theme downloaded and installed OK but clicking to select it again resulted in a frozen session with white noise. Any ideas?

  3. It would be nice if you made a multi-dvd of the individual ones as well. like a multi 32-64 bit SolydK iso, etc. but I really like this Distro, I recently converted my family over to it :)

  4. Great distro: stable and elegant.
    I have it installed (both X and K, 32 or 64 bits) in ~ 10 machines.
    Keep the good work, pals!

  5. Great Job and Great Distro.
    Came from Mint 15 KDE.

But found reasons to want to move away from ubuntu and was intrigued to give Rolling release a shot.

As tired of doing clean installs every 6 months or so.

Worked out of the Box and Smooth and Snappy No issues so far working like a Champ.

Thanks for all your hard work and dedication.
    .

  6. download of solydX is running now, great thanks for this distro and keep up the good work Schoelje
